Rules

1. Select a team of eight (8) drivers, one from each group to start the season off. The drivers are listed downward in order based on their 2008 point standings.

2. Each team that is purchased will cost $25.00 and there is no limit to how many teams you own. Payments can be made by cash, cheque, (hand delivered or the good ol' Postal Service) or email transfer. Cheques are to be made payable to Chris Reise. Those of you who do not know my mailing address can email me and I will reply to you with it. E-mail transfers can be made to chrisreise@hotmail.com. All Teams must be picked by February 14, 2009.

3. Each team will collect the same points as are awarded to each driver in their team collects each race (the "Race For The Chase" points adjustment does not apply to this racing pool). There will be five (5) bonus points awarded to a team member who has won the Bud Pole Award, however if the starting line-up is determined by points due to rain, there will be no bonus awarded. There will be another five (5) bonus points awarded to a team member who has won a race. There will be an additional five (5) bonus points awarded if any member of a team is the points leader at the end of a race.

4. There are two times at which you could trade a team member for another, provided that each of the drivers are selected from the same group. (e.g. Jimmie Johnson could be traded for Carl Edwards because they are both in Group 1, but Carl Edwards could not be traded for Jeff Burton, as they are in two separate groups. The first trade will be immediately following race number twelve (12), which is The Coca-Cola 600 at Lowe's Motor Speedway, May 24, and any driver change must be made before the following race. The second trade will be immediately following race twenty-four (24) which is The Sharpie 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway August 22, and any driver change must be made before the following race. You can make a total of two trades, whether you trade one in the spring and one in the summer is your choice. If you trade two in the spring, you can not make a trade in the summer. 

5. The points are based on the unofficial standings at the end of the race and are taken from www.nascar.com if one of your team mates is penalized for an improper spoiler or something else, your team's scores will not be affected.

6. The prize money at season end will depend on how many total teams there are.($25.00 for each entry. 3 teams = $75.00.)

7. In the case of a tie at season end, the team whose drivers have the most wins will be placed above another team with the same points. If there's still a tie, then it is decided that the team with the most 2^nd, 3^rd, etc., if the teams are exactly the same, those teams will split the prize money.

The groups are as follows. * - Indicates possibly not a full season.  ** - Indicates a Rookie Of The Year Candidate. Goto NASCAR.com driver page to find out some info. 

           Once you've made your choices, please email me at chrisreise@hotmail.com and once all the participants have made their picks, they will be posted below. Driver names that are in bold blue letters are drivers that have been traded in.
